The module structure of the Solomon-Tits algebra of the symmetric group

چکیده

Let (W,S) be a finite Coxeter system. Tits defined an associative product on the set Σ of simplices of the associated Coxeter complex. The corresponding semigroup algebra is the Solomon-Tits algebra of W . It contains the Solomon algebra of W as the algebra of invariants with respect to the natural action of W on Σ. For the symmetric group Sn, there is a 1-1 correspondence between Σ and the set of all set compositions (or ordered set partitions) of {1, . . . , n}. The product on Σ has a simple combinatorial description in terms of set compositions. We study in detail the representation theory of the Solomon-Tits algebra of Sn over an arbitrary field, and show how our results relate to the corresponding results on the Solomon algebra of Sn. This includes the construction of irreducible and principal indecomposable modules, a description of the Cartan invariants, of the Ext-quiver, and of the descending Loewy series. Our approach builds on a (twisted) Hopf algebra structure on the direct sum of all Solomon-Tits algebras.

Approximate $n-$ideal amenability of module extension Banach algebras

Let $mathcal{A}$ be a Banach algebra and $X$ be a Banach $mathcal{A}-$bimodule. We study the notion of approximate $n-$ideal amenability for module extension Banach algebras $mathcal{A}oplus X$. First, we describe the structure of ideals of this kind of algebras and we present the necessary and sufficient conditions for a module extension Banach algebra to be approximately n-ideally amenable.

The structure of module contractible Banach algebras

In this paper we study the module contractibility ofBanach algebras and characterize them in terms the conceptssplitting and admissibility of short exact sequences. Also weinvestigate module contractibility of Banach algebras with theconcept of the module diagonal.

On (σ, τ)-module extension Banach algebras

Let A be a Banach algebra and X be a Banach A-bimodule. In this paper, we define a new product on $Aoplus X$ and generalize the module extension Banach algebras. We  obtain characterizations of Arens regularity, commutativity, semisimplity, and study the ideal structure and derivations of this new Banach algebra.

The Steinberg Torus of a Weyl Group as a Module over the Coxeter Complex

Associated to each irreducible crystallographic root system Φ, there is a certain cell complex structure on the torus obtained as the quotient of the ambient space by the coroot lattice of Φ. This is the Steinberg torus. A main goal of this paper is to exhibit a module structure on (the set of faces of) this complex over the (set of faces of the) Coxeter complex of Φ. The latter is a monoid und...

Realization of locally extended affine Lie algebras of type $A_1$

Locally extended affine Lie algebras were introduced by Morita and Yoshii in [J. Algebra 301(1) (2006), 59-81] as a natural generalization of extended affine Lie algebras. After that, various generalizations of these Lie algebras have been investigated by others. It is known that a locally extended affine Lie algebra can be recovered from its centerless core, i.e., the ideal generated by weight...
